For the past 5 months, my wardrobe has consisted of exclusively nursing tanks, t-shirts and khakis/jeans/shorts. In a word: uninspiring.

My outfits have been lackluster out of function (nursing), temperature (it’s flipping hot), thrift (none of my shirts fit my now-ample bosom) and need (I’m not really going anywhere). So while my real wardrobe needs are minimal, my online shopping carts have become something of an obsession.

I’m coveting everything. Everything.

I want heeled loafers, leopard coats, snug blazers, bow tops, necklaces, bracelets and rings. I want boot-cut jeans, pretty blouses, ballet flats and cool bags.

When I shop online, my wardrobe needs are extensive, as is my wallet.

My next few posts (it’ll take a few), are some things that are in my shopping carts around the Web.

emailed Georgeanne Bryant, owner of cool-spots Frances & Smeeks, and asked if
she was going to give that space her magic touch.

“My family would kill me,” she replied.

Her family must have come to terms with the fact that the city needs her. Friday, June 3rd marked the opening of the new accessories and shoe store, Frances Studio — which carries many of the cool, eclectic brands found in Frances Vintage, like Toms and Orla Kiely…and then some. What you’ll find: unique tapestry bags, cool artisan pendants, funky footwear.

Now the piercing shop next door needs to relocate so Bryant can start a stationery store.

I visited my sister (aka my personal stylist) over the weekend in L.A. to hang out, show off the baby, and while at it, get my hair trimmed.

I sat in her kitchen with a garbage bag smock on and chatted as she chopped. As she scissored the bangs, I watched 2 1/2-inch pieces of hair drop into my lap.

“Hmmm…were my bangs really that long?” I wondered.

Then my sister started furiously smoothing my hair down, as if rapid petting might make my fringe grow.

“You usually like them short,” she said worriedly.

I think they are short enough.

“In two weeks, they’ll be perfect,” she offered.

So true — but in the mean time, my brows are on parade. Probably a good time to visit my favorite brow guy, Koltton Fox.

Around Earth Day, you can’t get away from magazines, websites, etc. eschewing the virtues of eco-fashion — organic cotton, bamboo, recycled materials, vintage etc.

I love some good kind-to-the-environment threads, but I feel like people gloss over another eco-option — buying items that last. Good quality, timeless styles that you can wear season in and out. Clothes you won’t get tired of and sell to Buffalo after wearing it for a month or two.

Here are some items that I either have or want that I think test of time:

1.) Selvedge Chambray Shirt, $88
Simple chambray shirt can be dressed up or down.

2.) Island Sandals, $165
I got a pair of these sandals “made just for me” during my honeymoon in Maui. I’m about to have my 8th anniversary — and they are still going strong.

3.) Spring Mercer Pants, $248
Summer jeans are best light and loose.

4.) Diane Von Furstenberg Wrap Dress, $325
The quintessential wrap dress is flattering — and a go-to for a multitude of occasions.

Wilson has had an insatiable appetite — followed by some disconcerting crying jags. I’ve been spending much time on the couch with a baby latched to my boob, watching old Law & Order SVUs rather than doing anything worth writing about.

If anyone is ready for Spa Week, it’s me.

For those not in the know, spas participating in the week-long event have selected treatments available for $50.

Some of the spas participating: all 3 Dolce Salon & Spas are offering a 45 minute massage, facial or pedicure. Joya Spa at the Montelucia (one of my favorite local spas) has a 45 facial, makeup-application or personal training session available this week. Revive Spa has 50 minutes massages, facials and pedicures.

To find participating spas, visit the Spa Week website and fill out the information (name and email) for a list of local spas and their deals.
